General Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions form a binding agreement between you (the Customer) and Activity Norway AS for all bookings made through www.activitynorway.com, social media, or email.
By booking an activity or tour, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

This agreement becomes legally binding upon full or partial payment or written confirmation via our online or email booking system.
Norwegian law applies to this agreement, and any disputes shall be resolved by Norwegian courts.
Activity Norway AS reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions without prior notice; the version in effect at the time of booking applies.

1. Terms of Payment

All activities must be prepaid by credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, Vipps, or cash.
Payment instructions are provided on www.activitynorway.com.
All prices include applicable Norwegian taxes (MVA) unless otherwise stated.

2. One-Day and Multi-Day Activity Packages

Alterations and Cancellations by the Customer
• All changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed by Activity Norway AS.
• Alterations include changes to date, time, or number of participants.
• Alterations must be requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled activity start time.
• A service fee of NOK 550 applies to alterations, except when adding participants.
• Reducing the number of participants or the duration of a tour does not reduce the total price.
• Alterations are only possible for private bookings. Shared tours are treated as cancellations.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

All cancellations must be sent by email to info@activitynorway.com and acknowledged by Activity Norway AS.
• A full refund is issued only if the cancellation is made more than 48 hours before the activity start time.
• Cancellations involving third-party providers (hotels, helicopter flights, etc.) are subject to their terms and non-refundable costs.
• An administration fee of NOK 550 applies to customer-initiated cancellations.
• Refunds are issued using the original payment method within a reasonable period, normally within 14 days.
• In case of weather or safety restrictions (e.g., helicopter flights), an alternative activity or itinerary will be offered. The customer must accept this reasonable alternative in accordance with §20 of the Norwegian Package Travel Act.
• If a helicopter flight is canceled for safety reasons, and the alternative provided is of significantly lower value, a partial refund up to 30% may apply.

4. No-Shows and Damages

4.1 No-Shows
Failure to appear at the confirmed pick-up time and location will be treated as a no-show. The tour will proceed without the absent participant, and no refund will be issued.

4.2 Damages
Customers are responsible for reporting any damages immediately to the guide and obtaining written confirmation.
Customers are liable for repair or replacement costs and for any loss of income resulting from damages caused by themselves or their party.

5. Alterations and Cancellations by Activity Norway
• Activity Norway may alter or cancel an activity due to force majeure, government action, safety concerns, technical failures, or insufficient participants.
• If Activity Norway AS cancels a tour before it begins for reasons not related to the customer, the customer is entitled to a 100% refund of all payments made.
• In such cases, no administration or service fees will be deducted.
• If the cancellation is due to force majeure (such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or severe weather), a refund will be issued minus any documented, non-refundable third-party costs already incurred by Activity Norway AS.
• Alternatively, customers may choose one of the following options instead of a refund:
1. Rebooking to a new date.
2. A credit or voucher for a similar activity of equal value.
• Changes made after the tour has begun are considered alterations and do not entitle the Customer to compensation unless the change significantly reduces the tour’s value.
• Failure to bring required equipment (as stated in the booking confirmation) may result in denied participation without refund.

6. Requirements of Participation

Customers must ensure that they are physically fit and capable of completing the chosen activity.
The guide has full authority to exclude participants deemed unfit, unsafe, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
No refunds will be issued in such cases.

7. Advance Preparations

Customers will receive an Itinerary Details email with information on clothing, food, water, and equipment requirements.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in denied participation without refund.
Pick-up details are confirmed by email after payment.
Failure to attend at the agreed time and place constitutes a no-show.

8. Risk and Liability

Participation in outdoor and adventure activities carries inherent risks.
Customers must follow all safety instructions and wear required safety equipment.
Activity Norway AS accepts no liability for loss or injury arising from non-compliance with instructions.
Activity Norway AS is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct resulting in personal injury or death, in accordance with Norwegian law.

9. Insurance

Customers are not covered by Activity Norway AS insurance and must obtain their own travel, accident, and health insurance, including coverage for outdoor and adventure activities.
Proof of valid insurance may be requested before participation.
Illness-related cancellations must be handled through the Customer’s travel insurance.
